An isolated non-genetically modified human cell differentiated ex vivo from a mesenchymal stem cell, expressing at least one mesenchymal stem cell marker and secreting brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and glial derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF), and not secreting nerve growth factor (bNGF), wherein said at least one mesenchymal stem cell marker is selected from the group consisting of CD7, CD90 and CD105, wherein a basal secretion of said GDNF is at least two times greater than a basal secretion of said GDNF in a non-differentiated, non-genetically modified mesenchymal stem cell. |
