Provided are a rewrite detection system, a rewrite detection device, and an information processing device, which are able to detect that unauthorized rewriting of a program or data stored in a storage unit of an information processing device has taken place. This rewrite detection device (5) generates a random seed which is transmitted to an ECU (2) and a server device (7). On the basis of the received random seed and memory content stored in a memory unit, the ECU (2), using a prescribed hash function, computes a hash value which is transmitted to the rewrite detection device (5). In response to a query from the rewrite detection device (5), the server device (7) transmits an expected value. Depending on whether the expected value received from the server device (7) and the hash value received from the ECU (2) match, the rewrite detection device (5) determines whether unauthorized rewriting of a program or data of the ECU (2) has taken place.
