PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of simplifying a printing method and forming a high quality image on a non-absorbent printing surface especially.SOLUTION: There is provided a printing method which comprises: a step of depositing ink compositions of at least two colours on a substrate to form an image; and a step of fixing the image to the substrate, wherein the ink is deposited using an electrostatic printhead, which ejects chargeable marking particles dispersed in a dispersion medium fluid by using an applied electric field for first concentrating marking particles and then ejecting the marking particles and all of the ink compositions are deposited on the substrate to form the image on the substrate before the image is fixed. The ink compositions comprise 45 to 95 wt.% of a dispersion medium fluid, 6 to 40 wt.% of insoluble chargeable marking particles and 0.4 to 10 wt.% of a soluble dispersant and the ink does not contain a substance which can fix the marking particles on a substrate. |
