PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition and a method for reinforcing a transmucosal delivery.SOLUTION: This invention relates, generally, to a composition and a method for delivering a substance over a mucosal barrier. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such a substance and a usage method thereof. In one example, this invention provides a particle including an outer surface and at least one surface modification portion arranged on the outer surface. The particle diffuses through human cervical-vaginal mucus at a diffusion ratio larger than 1/1000 of the diffusion ratio at which the particle diffuses through water on the one-second time scale.
