A system for managing safety of a gas container comprises: an electronic tag (101) having an ID of a gas container (V) stored therein; a third reader (111) to recognize the electronic tag (101) to send the ID; and a central server (121) to receive the ID from the third reader (111) to identify whether there is abnormality in the ID. Furthermore, the method for managing safety of a gas container includes: a pallet recognizing step (S5) of recognizing an ID by a third reader (111) by setting a gas container (V) on a pallet (107); a pallet transmitting step (S6) of transmitting the ID to a central server (121) by the third reader (111) after the pallet recognizing step (S5); and an abnormality identifying step (S7) of identifying, by the central server (121), information of the gas container (V) which is a subject of the ID after the pallet transmitting step (S6), thereby preventing, in advance, gas explosion by eradicating the non-registered gas container (V) or the gas container (V) of which test deadline or expiration date is already passed and also preventing, in advance, a phenomenon of distributing stolen gas container (V) without registration or of deceiving a consumer about the charging amount of supplied gas by a seller. |
