A solar cell (70) is provided with: a base substrate (10) having a main surface; a first conductivity layer (12n) provided in a first region (W1) on the main surface; a second conductivity layer (13p) provided in a second region (W2) on the main surface, said second region differing from said first region (W1); n-side electrodes (14) provided on the first conductivity layer (12n); p-side electrodes (15) provided on the second conductivity layer (13p); and channels (31, 32) for separating the n-side electrodes (14) from the p-side electrodes (15). The main surface has an outer region (C1) provided along an outer edge of the main surface and an inner region (C2) provided to the interior of the outer region (C1), and the channels (31, 32) are provided so as to have a greater width (W51, W52) in the outer region (C1) than in the inner region (C2), the width being measured in the direction in which the n-side electrodes (14) and p-side electrodes (15) separate.
