摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transfer a carrier (an electron or a hole) generated in a second semiconductor region with respect to a heavily-doped semiconductor region connected to an external electrode in a light-receiving element.SOLUTION: A light-receiving element includes: a first semiconductor region of a first conductivity type electrically connected to a first external electrode; a second semiconductor region of a second conductivity type formed on the first semiconductor region; a third semiconductor region of the first conductivity type formed on the second semiconductor region; and a plurality of fourth semiconductor regions of the second conductivity type, formed on the second semiconductor region surrounded by the third semiconductor region, containing an impurity of the second conductivity at concentration higher than that in the second semiconductor region, and electrically connected to a second external electrode.
