This image formation device (20) has a primary transfer means (5) that causes the primary transfer of a toner image, which is formed by means of a developing means (4), between an intermediate transfer belt (7) and an image carrier (1) at a primary transfer position (N1). The image formation device also has a secondary transfer rotating body (8) that imposes a secondary transfer bias with respect to a drive rotating body in a manner such that the toner image subjected to primary transfer to the intermediate transfer belt is subjected to secondary transfer to a recording material (P) conveyed to a secondary transfer position (N2). The image formation device further has a control means (12) that starts the imposition of the secondary transfer bias following the start of exposure by an exposure means (3a) before the toner image formed by means of the exposure reaches the primary transfer position. |
