PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new family of an oxycarbonitride phosphor composition, and a luminous element containing the same.SOLUTION: A phosphor contains one or two crystalline phases in a system of 6 components M-Al-Si-O-N-C-Ln and a system of 5 components M-Si-O-N-C-Ln (M is an alkaline earth element, and Ln is a rare earth element), and has high chemical and thermal stability and a formula selected from the group consisting of following formulae (a)-(d). A composition contains the phosphor and a luminous element contains the composition. The phosphor composition radiates light having a second luminescence spectrum when radiated by light emitted from a light source that radiates a first luminescence spectrum. The luminous element contains the light source and the phosphor composition, and radiates white light. |
