PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device capable of suppressing generation of mist.SOLUTION: A driving signal contains a first driving pulse P1 for jetting drop from a nozzle, and a second driving pulse P2 for jetting drop whose size is different from that of the drop in the first driving pulse P1 from the nozzle. The first driving pulse P1 and the second driving pulse P2 contain at least expansion elements p1, p6 which change from reference potential to expansion potential, contraction elements p3, p8 for contracting a pressure chamber, and active vibration control elements p5, p14 which change from contraction potential which is an opposite side of the expansion potential to the reference potential, with respect to the reference potential. Start potential of the contraction element of the first driving pulse P1 and start potential of the contraction element of the second driving pulse P2 are same potentials, and the first driving pulse P1 and the second driving pulse P2 are set so that potential difference D1 between the reference potential and the contraction potential with respect to potential difference D3 between the start potential and the contraction potential of the contraction element is 40% or more and 50% or less. |
