Provided is a heat exchanger for an automobile, wherein a cover member (22) covers an upstream side edge (121a) which is an air flow upstream portion of the outer circumferential surface of a tube (12) in which a heat medium flows, and the cover member is fixed to the upstream side edge (121a). For example, in a direction perpendicular to the air flow direction and the heat medium flow direction, the width of the cover member (22) is no more than the width of the tube. Accordingly, displacement of the cover member (22) with respect to the tube (12) is prevented, and on the vehicle front side, the tube (12) can be protected by the cover member (22), i.e., the tube (12) can be protected from chipping. |
