[Problem] To provide a deodorizing filter for an electric fan that makes it possible to remove an odor component, cigarette odor, and nonenal odor that are included in air using an electric fan. [Solution] A deodorizing filter (10A) for an electric fan is made from a soft polyurethane film (11) comprising activated carbon that absorbs odors that are included in air and comprises: a front surface (14) and a rear surface (15) having a predetermined area; an inner peripheral edge section (16) and an outer peripheral edge section (17); a central opening (18) that is removably inserted into a screw pipe that is surrounded by the inner peripheral edge section (16) and that extends forward from the motor case of an electric fan; a plurality of air paths that extend between the front and rear surfaces (14, 15); and a plurality of vents that are connected to the air paths and that open on the front and rear surfaces. The central opening (18) is inserted in the screw pipe and the deodorizing filter (10A) is detachably mounted to the electric fan while being sandwiched between the inner peripheral section of a rear guard that is mounted behind the blades of the electric fan and a guard fastening nut that fixes the rear guard to the motor case. |
