Clogging of air textile filters by condensation is prevented by mixing dust laden air from 17 prior to filtration with air from 6 that is hotter and dryer so that the dust laden air is kept above its dew point during its flow through the filter. The filter may be cylindrical as shown at 16 in Fig. 2, or may be planar (8, Fig. 1 not shown). The air that is added may be the combustion gases from an oil heater.</p> |
