The invention relates to a unit for measuring hardness comprising a rupture chamber in which a fixed jaw is provided, said fixed jaw being arranged opposite a moveable pressing jaw. Also provided is at least one stop bar that is arranged substantially at a right angle to the fixed jaw, wherein a base of the rupture chamber is formed by part of a flat surface that is rotatable in both directions about a rotational axis, and on which flat surface a test piece can be arranged. The invention also relates to a method for measuring hardness by means of which both the width and the length of a test piece can also be measured. |
