摘要 |

The invention relates to a method for diagnosing the absence of a particle filter (4) in an exhaust line (2) of an internal combustion engine (1) of a vehicle, said exhaust line being provided with a catalyst (3) and a particle filter (4) arranged downstream of the catalyst, said filter comprising a substrate at least partially coated and/or impregnated by a material with properties for reversible storage of oxygen according to the richness of the exhaust gases. According to the method, the presence or the absence of the particle filter (4) is deduced from monitoring of the variation, as a function of the distance travelled by the vehicle, of the amount of oxygen contained in the catalyst and filter assembly using two oxygen sensors (6,7), one so-called "upstream" sensor being arranged upstream of the catalyst (3) and the other, the so-called "downstream" sensor, arranged downstream of the filter (4).
|
