In making window frames and sashes having matching circular segmental surfaces at their inner and outer peripheries respectively, the sash is east first and the segmental profile of the sash is built in as part of the mould for the frame. The moulds are filled by casting or injection. Tubular frames and sheaths are inserted into the moulds and thermosetting plastics material, e.g. epoxy resins cast around them so that they form the fixtures and operating elements of a window which is swingable about either the side or the bottom edge.
