This damping valve is provided with: a valve seat member having a port and a first valve seat; a shaft member provided to the valve seat member; an annular primary valve body that is mounted to the shaft member, is seated/unseated with respect to the first valve seat, and has a second valve sat at the reverse side from the valve seat member; an auxiliary valve body that is mounted to the shaft member and that is seated/unseated with respect to the second valve seat; an inter-valve-body chamber that is between the primary valve body and the auxiliary valve body and that is formed at the inner peripheral side of the second valve seat; a limiting pathway that interconnects the port and the inter-valve-body chamber and that imparts resistance to the flow of a fluid passing through; a primary valve body biasing means that biases the primary valve body towards the valve seat member side; and an auxiliary valve body biasing means that biases the auxiliary valve body to the primary valve body side. The limiting pathway is formed by means of an annular gap between the primary valve body and the shaft member. |
