A method and apparatus is provided that allows a user to automatically add content, such as an event, to a container, such as, a calendar without directly accessing the container. Second and third preferred embodiments are also provided.

1. A method comprising:
providing, to an account manager, a web tool comprising information fields; receiving, from the account manager, information associated with an event within the information fields; generating, using at least one processor, an insert comprising the information associated with the event; incorporating a selectable element associated with the insert within a web page; receiving, from a user, a selection of the selectable element; and upon receiving the selection of the selectable element, adding the insert to a container associated with the user.
