Provided is an eyeglass lens which belongs to a series of eyeglass lenses which each share a first refractive power and a second refractive power. A progressive zone length, which is the length of a progressive portion along a meridian curve, is shorter than a specific reference eyeglass lens which belongs to a series of eyeglass lenses. A design maximum differential value, when a normal addition refractive power distribution in the progressive portion is differentiated, is caused to approach a reference maximum differential value when a normal addition refractive power distribution in a progressive portion of the reference eyeglass lens is differentiated.
