A dewatering method for a liquid crystal display screen comprises the following steps: 1) introducing liquid crystal into an airtight container having a drier provided therein, and absorbing the water in the liquid crystal by the drier, so as to control the water content of the liquid crystal below 25ppm; 2) introducing the dried liquid crystal into a filter to filter the impurities with large diameter; 3) deaerating the filtered liquid crystal in vacuum; 4) providing the deaerated liquid crystal into a liquid crystal drop device, and dropping the liquid crystal on a substrate by a liquid crystal one drop fill process (ODF). By directly contacting the liquid crystal with the drier, the water in the liquid crystal is absorbed quickly. Comparing to the conventional dewatering process, the water in the liquid crystal is absorbed more effectively by the direct-contact manner, thus the dewatering efficiency is improved. By controlling the water content in the liquid crystal, a liquid crystal display manufactured by the method has a stable Gamma value, so that the difference between a grayscale transition and a normal display is decreased. |
