The present invention relates to safety seals for container caps shaped as building blocks with connectors of the kind of male pin/female cavities. More specifically, the invention teaches a safety seal (6) for a functional cap shaped as a building block and comprising a sidewall (1), a top surface (2), a base (3), two or more fitting elements of the kind of male pins (4) and/or female cavities (5) in the upper portion of the cap, and two or more fitting elements of the kind of male pins (4) and/or female cavities (5) in the lower portion of the cap, wherein the fitting elements of the kind of male pins (4) and/or female cavities (5) can optionally form connection pairs with the fitting elements of another cap of the same type, but form connection pairs with fitting elements of the kind of male pins and/or female cavities of other caps shaped as building blocks of a different type, the base of the cap having recesses (10) that can take the form of thinner portions (10-a) of the wall and/or indentations (10-b) and/or cutouts (10-c), characterised in that the safety seal (6) has one or more recesses (7) that can take the form of thinner portions (7-a) of the wall and/or indentations (7-b). The invention also teaches a method for manufacturing a safety seal.
