<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition and method for alleviating the symptoms accompanying PMS.SOLUTION: The composition of the invention contains as an active ingredient, at least 2% (w/w) phosphatidyl-L-serine or its salt based on the whole composition, The phosphatidyl-L-serine has a structural fatty acid chain originated from at least one raw material lecithin. Preferably, the phosphatidyl-L-serine is formed by the enzymatic reaction of at least one raw material lecithin by phospholipase-D; at least one raw material lecithin is selected from the group consisting of a vegetable lecithin and a non-vegetable lecithin; and the phospholipase-D is selected from the group consisting of a vegetable phospholipase-D, a bacterium-originated enzyme phospholipase-D, and a mixture of the vegetable phospholipase-D with the bacterium-originated enzyme phospholipase-D. Preferably, the structural fatty acid chain is a saturated hydrogenated fatty acid chain and the phosphatidyl-L-serine is originated from a milk product lecithin.</p> |
