摘要 Provided are filtration media and matrixes comprising a pulverized powder of ion exchange resin and a polymeric binder. The resin can be pulverized to an average particle size in the range of 50 to 250 microns and can comprise a cation exchange resin, an anion exchange resin, a chelating resin, a biologically-related ion exchange resin, or combinations thereof. The media can further comprise activated carbon. The binder can be ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. The filtration media can be used to make matrixes and systems. Methods of making and using the same are also provided.
