Provided is a progress bar precision adjusting device, comprising: a precision adjustment determining unit for determining a precision adjustment multiplier according to identified operations; and a progress bar processing unit for adjusting the progress bar of a player according to the precision adjustment multiplier. Also provided is a progress bar precision adjusting method. The technical solution of the present invention allows a precision adjustment multiplier to be determined according to user operation, and the precision adjustment multiplier in turn adjusts the playing precision of a progress bar, such that a user can accurately determine the playing time on the adjusted progress bar.
