Welding for connecting an aluminum tube flange (2) with a tube (1) made of aluminum, comprises (i) fixing the tube and the tube flange, (ii) producing a welding seam around the tube or the tube flange, by a plasma burner during plasma metal-inert-gas welding, where a weld pool is used for forming a weld root, and (iii) producing a welding joint to welding seam, between tube and tube flange, in a welding position, at its cross-sectional shape depending on tube wall thickness (3), by guiding plasma burner with a fusible electrode with predetermined feed rate around the tube or the tube flange.
