The present invention relates to a medical image management method and a device therefor. Features of the medical image management method and the device therefor are to transmit a medical image, stored in a medical image management device, to a first external storage device selected by a user from multiple external storage devices, to store mapping information mapped with medical image information and information about the first external storage device, to delete the medical image, to determine the first external storage device among multiple external storage devices based on the mapping information according to the recovery input of the user for the deleted medical image, and to receive the deleted medical image from the first external storage device. |
