摘要 <p>The present invention relates to an active valley-fill circuit for driving a light emitting diode. More particularly, the present invention relates to an apparatus for improving flicker characteristics and representing high light efficiency, a high power factor and low THD characteristics by applying an AC power direct linear type light emitting driver which does not use a converter. Since it is very difficult to improve a flicker without reducing a power factor in an existing AC power direct type light emitting diode driving scheme, a scheme of using the converter is widely used in a case of a lighting in which flicker characteristic is important. However, in a case of lighting using the converter, if a manufacturing cost is high and many components are used so that a system is large and heavy, reliability is relatively low. The present invention is aimed at maintaining an advantage of the AC power direct type linear light emitting diode driving scheme and improving flicker characteristics which was pointed out as a problem. The present invention may reduce a manufacturing costs of the whole lighting and reduce the size and weight and increase reliability while representing high light efficiency, a high power factor and low THD characteristics in an AC power direct type linear scheme by adding only a single capacitor and a single switch through an active valley-fill circuit for driving a light emitting diode.</p>
