Lens and light emitting module for surface illumination

Disclosed herein are a lens and a light emitting module for surface illumination. The light emitting module includes: a circuit board; light emitting elements including light emitting diode chips and a wavelength conversion layer coated on the light emitting diode chips and mounted on the circuit board; and a lens diffusing light emitted from the light emitting elements. The lens includes a concave part defining a light incident surface on which light is incident and an upper surface through which the light incident on the lens is emitted and at least one of the light incident surface of the concave part and the upper surface includes a plurality of sections which are at a position of 15° or more from the central axis and are sequentially connected in a height direction.
