<p>The method involves twisting multiple plastic monofilaments (1a, 1b) together around a longitudinal axis in a rotational direction at predetermined rotational speed. The plastic monofilaments are twisted together with filament yarns (2a, 2b) in an opposite rotational direction at the predetermined rotational speed. The twisted plastic monofilaments are completely rotated back and the plastic monofilaments twisted with the filament yarns are interwoven as warp and weft threads to form a backing fabric. A surface of the backing fabric is coated with elastomer mass. An independent claim is also included for a backing fabric comprising interwoven warp and weft threads.</p> |
