摘要 The present invention relates to a digital hologram compression device based on scalable coding which compresses and encodes a digital hologram image using a hologram and a difference image of a light source. The digital hologram compression device comprises: an encoding device for downscaling a three-dimensional object image step by step, obtaining and encoding an object image and a downscaled object image of a relevant step in each step (hereinafter referred to as a layer), obtaining and encoding a difference image of a hologram image from the object images, and transmitting bit streams of a basic layer and multiple improved layers; and an decoding device for extracting a difference image of each layer by decoding the bit streams of a difference image of an object image and a hologram image consisting of a basic layer and multiple improved layers, and restoring a hologram image by combining the difference image of each layer. According to the digital hologram compression device based on scalable coding, holograms with various resolutions can be restored using difference images of a basic layer and light source information in a decoding step by compressing and coding a hologram and difference images of a light source in an encoding step.
