PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell unit capable of achieving high efficiency while minimizing a loss in electric power generation.SOLUTION: A combined power generation unit includes humidification means 3 which humidifies a fuel, modification means 5 which modifies the fuel humidified by the humidification means 3 to obtain a hydrogen-rich anode gas, and a fuel cell 1 which generates electric power by means of electrochemical reaction of the anode gas obtained in the modification means 5 and a cathode gas containing oxygen. Since the hydrogen-rich anode gas is obtained by modifying the fuel humidified by the humidification means 3 with the modification means 5, an efficiency in the power generation is enhanced by obtaining the hydrogen-rich anode gas while minimizing energy necessary for humidifying the fuel, that is, without using steam which requires a lot of energy for its generation. |
