The engine (10) has tumble-line section (31) that is connected with combustion chamber (20). The exhaust gas discharged from combustion chamber is returned into swirl-line section (32) and tumble-line section with different concentrations using exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) assembly (15). An inlet valve is arranged between tumble line section and combustion chamber. A fresh air supply portion (70) is provided to supply fresh air which is free from exhaust gas, to tumble line section. The fresh air supply portion is arranged at upstream side of intake valve in gas flow direction. |
