A retainer suitable for receiving a holder 30 that holds an electronic device in a vehicle, the retainer having a shaft 4 for insertion of the receiving portion 30. Each of the receiving device 30 and the retainer has a magnet and/or magnetically polar element 28, 32 which interacts with that of the other portion when they are brought in proximity. A flap 6 covers the shaft 4 and a locking bar element 10 maintains the open or closed position of the flap 6. The locking bar element 10 moves from the closed configuration to the open position when the magnetic interactive elements 28, 32 are brought together. |
