<p>A food-stuff press for hand-held use includes a first handle portion having a tapered recess 4 arranged to receive a food-stuff and being formed of two opposing tapered side walls, an end wall extending between said tapered side walls and a perforated base. The perforated base may comprises tapered apertures. A second handle portion has a compression surface arranged in use to rotate about a pivot point at a tapered end of said tapered recess, between a first position in which food-stuff can be introduced into said tapered recess and a second position in which the compression surface abuts against the perforated base. The first handle portion is detachably connected to the second handle portion via the pivot point. A separable hinge joint may be formed by a pair of opposing protrusions 9 which correspond to a pair of indentations or recesses 8. The second handle portion may be arranged such that an edge 3b thereof can slide across the perforated surface so as to remove excess food.</p> |
