A frame for a stencil printing screen having a border of thermoplastic material welded thereto, Figs. 1 and 5 (not shown), is arranged with screw means to increase its periphery so as to stretch the screen netting and is provided with detachable arcuate members 11 at each corner to engage the said border. The frame comprises four corner members 3 rigidly connected to guide members which receive four hollow shank members 5, each of which is pressed away from the respective member 3 by means of a screw drive 15 engaging a thread in the member 5. Movement of a nut 18 on the drive 15 by rotation of the screw head in the requisite direction increases the distance 6 and tensions the screen. A scale is provided to indicate said distance. The border supporting the screen is U-shaped in cross-section and also engages a projection 10 along the length of each shank member 5, Fig. 5 (not shown). The members 11 are connected to the corner members 3 by pins 12. |
