An area S (m 2 ) of a facing surface of each of injectors which faces a glass ribbon is set so as to satisfy: S ‰¤ (0.0116×P×Cg×T)/{µ×F×Ã(T gla 4 -T inj 4 )}, wherein P is an output (ton/day) of the glass ribbon; Cg is a specific heat (J/(kg·°C)) of the glass; T is an acceptable temperature drop (°C) by which the glass ribbon is cooled during conveyance from an inlet to an outlet in one injector; µ is radiation factor; F is a surface-to-surface view factor; à is Boltzmann's constant (5.67×10 -8 (W/m 2 ·K 4 )); T gla is a temperature (K) of the glass ribbon represented by K = (T in +T out )/2 using both of a measured value T in obtained by measuring a temperature of the glass ribbon at the inlet of the injector by bringing thermocouple Type K into contact therewith and a measured value T out obtained by measuring a temperature of the glass ribbon at the outlet of the injector by bringing thermocouple Type K into contact therewith; and T inj is a temperature (K) of the facing surface of the injector. |
