<p>The present invention relates to an axle assembly for a vehicle having an auxiliary brake function comprising: a carrier where an axle oil is contained in a space portion inside; a pinion shaft penetrated through the inside of the carrier, having a gear portion; a ring gear rotated by being geared with the gear portion; a differential case where the ring gear is installed on one external side; and an oil catcher installed in the differential case, reducing a running speed of the vehicle by producing resistance against the axle oil by the rotation of the differential case. Therefore, the present invention can reduce costs and weight of the vehicle as there is no need of an additional device for an additional auxiliary brake like before by playing a role as the auxiliary brake function which reduces the running speed of the vehicle with resistance, produced between the oil catcher and the axle oil, by a reverse action of the differential case when braking and operating an engine brake at the same time while driving.</p> |
