The present invention relates to a robot cleaner, a mobile terminal and an operating method thereof. The robot cleaner according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an audio input unit; a camera; a communication unit exchanging data with an external device; a cleaning unit performing cleaning; and a control unit acquiring at least one of audio data and video data with regard to a specific user through the audio input unit or the camera in an event of entering into a baby care mode or a child care mode, and controlling the communication unit to transmit a notification message when the difference between the acquired data and previously stored data is not less than a certain value. Accordingly, the baby care mode or the child care mode can be simply executed.
