1,170,637. Armatures for dynamo-electric machines. SOC. D'ELECTRONIQUE ET D'AUTOMATISME. 8 May, 1967 [9 May, 1966], No. 21266/67. Heading H2A. An armature of an electrical rotating machine, e.g. motor, having a multiple stator structure, comprises a closed loop winding which includes at least one substantially uniform array of aluminium winding conductors adjacent a similar array of copper winding conductors presenting a commutating surface, means mutually insulating the arrays, and bridging connections interconnecting the conductors to form at least one series circuit of turns with successive conductors in different arrays. Although also applicable to cylindrical, linear, or looped types, the armature shown is of the flat discoidal type formed from Cu and Al stampings 20, 21 shaped to provide identical but reversed segments 10... 13 of a wave winding. The insulating means is a disc 22 serving as a carrier, and in Figs. 7 ... 9 there are superimposed two further A1 arrays shaped to a lap winding. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,029,798. |
