<p>Disclosed is a system for collecting vehicle information and a method thereof according to the present invention. The system for collecting vehicle information according to the present invention includes: an image photographing device provided at a side of a road to photograph a vehicle passing through the road and obtain an image of a vehicle; a number recognition device to extract a vehicle number from the obtained vehicle image; a traffic information server to extract vehicle information of the corresponding vehicle based on the extracted vehicle number; and a vehicle registration DB to register and store the vehicle information, in advance, corresponding to each vehicle.</p> |
