A cover plate (10) for covering a door clearance (20) between a skin (18) of a means of transportation (100) and a door (14) as well as a door arrangement (12) with such a cover plate (10) is proposed. The cover plate (10) comprises a mounting region (11a) for permanently fastening the cover plate (10) on the door (14); a covering region (11b) for covering the door clearance (20); and a fastening device (22, 22', 22") that is designed for fixing the covering region (11b) on the skin (18) when the door (14) is closed.
