<p>The ballast has a measuring input (LVS) for determining increased direct current or alternating voltage at an illuminant terminal (2). An inductor has a capacitor (C1) and ohmic resistors (R1, R2) and is attached to a power branch (3). The inductor is variable for transferring voltage applied at the terminal during operation of illuminants (1) depending on number and/or type of the illuminants to be operated and/or current applied at the input during dimming operation of the illuminants, where the current is adjusted for reaching a switching threshold of a failure disconnection unit.</p> |
