A system for providing information on skin types according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a DB storing information, a web server receiving, from a user terminal, response data representing a face region selected by a user with respect to at least one survey item for determining a skin type, and an information providing server calculating, from the response data, at least one of the skin dryness level of the user, the oil level on the skin, and a skin type index, and extracting, from the DB, information corresponding to the calculated value to transmit the extracted information to the user terminal.
