<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new type of heat storage material which complies with the requirements necessary for the heat storage material. <P>SOLUTION: This heat storage material is one which is comprised of a substance to make an electron phase transition, wherein the electron phase transition is a phase transition of multi-degrees of freedom containing the orbital degree of freedom or at least two degrees of freedom among such three degrees of freedom as the electric charge-, spin- and orbital-degrees of freedom of the internal degrees of freedom which an electron has, and the electron phase transition has a transition enthalpy of 5% or more in comparison with the transition enthalpy in the solid-liquid phase transition of H<SB>2</SB>O. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
