A modular suspension beam 12 for a modular fitness support frame comprises a first hollow elongate beam member 16 and a second hollow elongate beam 18 member arranged parallel to the first beam and spaced therefrom such that the second beam is arranged at a vertically spaced location beneath the first beam section in use. The first and second beam sections are secured at either end to a common mounting plate 22 and each mounting plate is arranged substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the first and second beam members and includes means for securing the mounting plate to the mounting plate 28 of a further modular suspension beam and for securing the mounting plate to a substantially vertical support structure 34.
