<p>A method (400) and calculating unit (200) connected to an optical sensor (110) for interpreting a measurement point (120) detected by said optical sensor (110). The method (400) comprises determination (401) of a first distance (A1), within the field of view (130) of the sensor (110), between the optical sensor (110) and a first limit (150- 1 ) within which a sensor detection by the optical sensor (110) is unambiguous. The method further comprises (400) an association (403) of a first sensor angle range (ΔΘ1) with distances shorter than the determined (401) first distance (A1 ) to the first limit (150-1 ) and of a second sensor angle range (ΔΘ2) with distances longer than the determined (401) first distance (A1) to the first limit (150-1). The method (400) also comprises detection (404) of the measurement point (120) within the field of view (130) of the sensor (110); and interpretation (405) of the distance to the detected (404) measurement point (120), based on the sensor angle range (ΔΘ1,ΔΘ2) within which a light reflection (140-2) from the measurement point (120) is detected (404).</p> |
