A liquid crystal display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, a thin film transistor located on the first substrate, a pixel electrode which is connected to the thin film transistor and includes a first sub pixel electrode and a second sub pixel electrode, a common electrode located on the second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer which is interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and includes liquid crystal molecules having a negative anisotropy dielectric constant. The first sub pixel electrode and the second sub pixel electrode includes a cross type branch part which consists of a vertical branch part and a horizontal branch part, and micro branch parts which are extended from the cross type branch part. The thickness of the liquid layer is 2.4μm to 3.2μm. The anisotropy dielectric constant of the liquid crystal molecules -3.0 to -2.0. The length of the pitch of the micro branch part is 4μm to 6μm.
