An electric vehicle includes an electric motor, an inverter that supplies electric power to the electric motor, a radiator that cools a coolant, a coolant passage that is configured to circulate the coolant through the electric motor, the inverter and the radiator, a plurality of liquid leakage detection sensors (flow sensors) provided in the coolant passage, a plurality of valves provide in the coolant passage, and a controller. The controller is configured to close valves provided at two locations, between which a portion where leakage of the coolant is detected by the liquid leakage detection sensors is located. |

1. An electric vehicle comprising:
an electric motor; an inverter that supplies electric power to the electric motor; a radiator that cools a coolant; a coolant passage configured to circulate the coolant through the electric motor, the inverter and the radiator; a coolant circulation pump provided on the coolant passage; a plurality of liquid leakage detection sensors provided in the coolant passage; a plurality of valves provided in the coolant passage; and a controller configured to close, of the plurality of valves, valves provided at two locations, between which a portion where liquid leakage has been detected by the liquid leakage detection sensors is located, and the controller is configured to drive the coolant circulation pump so that a flow direction of the coolant is periodically reversed, after closing the valves provided at the two locations, to continue to circulate the coolant through the coolant passage. |
