An ionization method, comprising: generating a pulse sequence of ionizing radiation that is modulated by a previously known time-variable impression pattern, wherein the pulse sequence of ionizing radiation is modulated in a binary manner, wherein previously known time-variable impression pattern is a quasi-random, pseudo-random, or non-repetitive impression pattern; and ionizing an analyte to be examined using the generated pulse sequence of ionizing radiation, wherein the pulse sequence of ionizing radiation has a pulse frequency and is modulated at time intervals by an interval frequency, and wherein the pulse frequency and interval frequency are greater than 1 kHz and less than 500 MHz.
