PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of easily suppressing variation in inclination of a sensor with respect to an endless belt, and accurately and stably performing detection by the sensor.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus (100) comprises: a belt unit (200) having an endless belt (8) supported so as to be rotatable in a circumferential direction (R); image forming units (1Y, 1M, 1C, 1Bk) for forming an image on the belt unit (200); and an optical sensor (31) for detecting light applied to the endless belt (8). The image forming apparatus (100) further comprises: a sensor support member (32) for supporting the sensor (31); and positioning members (400, 500) integrally having first positioning parts (400a, 500a) for positioning the belt unit (200) by being brought into contact with the belt unit (200) and second positioning parts (401a, 401b, 501a, 501b) for positioning the sensor support member (32) by being brought into contact with the sensor support member (32). |
